Monthly Teacher Meetings at the Elementary Level
Every month, for 25 minutes, teachers gather as a group in their building to meet with their Educational Technologist. Prior to the meeting, teachers take an online poll to decide the topic of the meeting. An agenda is created and shared using Google Drive (Google Docs) so that teachers can explore the content and links ahead of time. Teachers come to the meetings prepared, ready to work and share their ideas with colleagues.
Check out this agenda from the September meeting.

On-Going Professional Develepment at the MS/High School Level
Teachers meet individually, and as departments with the Educational Technologist to accomplish their technology goals. Regularly scheduled in-school professional development is based on meetings with administration, educational technologists and department chairs, as well as informal conversations with teachers. A tool or application is chosen as a focus over an extended period of time to maximize the understanding of a specific tool as well it's application and integration in the classroom. Teacher feedback is important to planning professional development. Here is an example of a Google skills survey.
